A Day at the Christo Rei Beachside

Timor Leste offers some of the most pristine and least explored dive sites within the famous Coral Triangle. At the beautiful white sand Christo Rei Beach site, the reef runs close to the shore making it very accessible from the beach. The marine life is abundant as it is diverse with colourful hard and soft corals as well as vivid array of reef fish. Leaving the ship, travel east along the scenic coastline climbing up into the hills above Dili on Cape Fatucama, then winding down to an isolated beach, where your activities will start for the day. Arrive at the Fatucama Beach Side, you can choose to either first join a walking tour to the famous Jesus Statue or participate in the snorkelling guided tour at the beach. You will have the opportunity to take part in both activities in whichever order you prefer, plus enjoy a delicious beach BBQ lunch serving a variety of seafood, meats and fresh salads, throughout the 4.5 hours stay. Continue your tour to The Taste of Timor Cultural Festival in Largo de Lecidere. A celebration of the country and its people's rich history and diverse cultures, offering an array of beverage, food and craft stalls from around Timor Leste, and features a fabulous entertainment program with local musicians and cultural dance performances. You will have the opportunity to pick up some gifts and souvenirs before returning to the ship.
