Do I need a visa to visit New Zealand?

If you are an Australian citizen travelling with an Australian passport, or a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand permanent resident, you do not need a visa to visit New Zealand.

All other guests are required to obtain a New Zealand visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to visit New Zealand. To determine your visa requirements for New Zealand, please visit http://www.immigration.govt.nz/ or download the NZ ETA mobile app from the App store or Google play. New Zealand ETA requests can be submitted via the app (fee of NZ$17 applies) or on the New Zealand Immigration website - http://www.immigration.govt.nz/nzeta (fee of NZ$23 applies). If you are required to obtain a New Zealand visa or ETA, must do so in advance of your cruise and present a printed copy at check-in. Without it, you may be denied boarding. When visiting New Zealand, you may also be subject to a $35 NZD International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL). This fee enables multiple entries into New Zealand and is payable at the time you obtain your visa or NZ ETA.

Your passport must be valid for a minimum of three months beyond the end of the cruise, or a minimum of three months beyond the date that you plan to leave New Zealand if your cruise ends in New Zealand.
