Do I need to have a COVID test before my cruise?

With the lifting of government COVID-19 requirements, it is no longer a requirement for all guests to take a COVID-19 test prior to boarding their cruise.

However, if you are experiencing symptoms within five days before your cruise, you should do a test for COVID-19 and if you receive a positive result, please contact us or your travel agent to cancel, as you will not be permitted to cruise.

If you are displaying symptoms when you check-in for your cruise, you will be asked to do a COVID-19 test and will require a negative result to be able to board.

If you are unable to cruise due to testing positive to COVID-19 within five days to your cruise, including if you are denied boarding, our cancellation and refund policy will apply. Please note that if you booked through a travel agent, their cancellation and refund terms may differ.

If you have a valid travel insurance policy, please submit a claim with your insurance provider. If you booked directly with P&O, our team will be able to provide you with confirmation of your cancellation showing any refunds and non-refundable components of your booking, which can be used as a supporting document for your insurance claim.
