1. Do I need travel insurance ?
We strongly recommend all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance, even for domestic cruises, to ensure they are covered if things do not go according to plan. While for cruises to or from Australia, there will be no charge for the initial assessment and evaluation of COVID-19 symptoms or any onboard COVID-19 testing, guests will be liable for any other costs incurred for onboard or onshore medical fees, medical evacuation charges, cancellation and travel change fees, and any other associated costs, unless they are covered under travel insurance.
Some ports included in your itinerary may also have a requirement for you to have a valid international travel insurance policy to be able to visit. You should confirm the requirements at the time of booking. Currently all ports in New Caledonia require guests to have valid international travel insurance.
Guests should ensure they read the product disclosure statement for any insurance policy they are considering ensuring it provides the level of cover they need, including cruise travel, and any pre-existing conditions.
