Canoe The Riri River

Feel like you’re floating on air as you canoe down the Riri River’s clear water and stop for a swim at the breath-taking Blue Hole. Take a 30-minute drive through Luganville to the mouth of the Riri River. Friendly guides will help you board an authentic dugout canoe. Your guide will paddle down the river, so you can relax and really take in the scenery. Feel a million miles away from civilisation as you glide silently across the water, all you hear are the sounds of the rainforest and the hushed whispers of those around you. Keep an eye out for tropical flowers and schools of brightly coloured fish that swim alongside the canoe. Surrounded by rainforest, stop at the breath-taking, freshwater Blue Hole for a swim in water so blue it must be seen to be believed. The natural spring is nearly 18 metres deep and its brilliant blue colour comes from the white limestone rocks refracting the sunlight through the clear water. There is plenty of time to swim and relax in this natural oasis.
