Tranquility Island and Turtle Sanctuary

Visit Tranquillity Island to say hi to adorable baby Hawksbill turtles at the Turtle Sanctuary and enjoy spectacular snorkelling at Jade Beach. You’ll get the chance to see a lot of Efate island on this far-reaching tour as you depart from the wharf headed for Havannah Harbour on the north side of the island. From Havannah Harbour you’ll board a boat for the trip over to Tranquillity Island. Keep your eyes open and you might spot a friendly dolphin or two along the way. The Turtle Sanctuary raises baby Hawksbill turtles until they reach twelve months old and can be tagged and released into the wild. After spending some time with the turtles, you’ll be given a guided tour of the conservatory, learning about all the wonderful work they do. Next up, enjoy a twenty-minute tropical nature walk across the island to Jade Beach. Picturesque and tree-lined, the area offers spectacular snorkelling. Kick back and enjoy a picnic lunch inbetween swimming and snorkelling just off the beach. Or, you can join a snorkel tender for a guided trip to the outer reef. At the end of the day, your boat transfer will be ready and waiting to take you back to the mainland. From there, it is a short bus ride back to the wharf.
