A Taste of Vanuatu

Port Vila the main commercial centre and capital of Vanuatu has a population of roughly 50,000 people and are from different cultural background, originating mainly from the 83 islands of Vanuatu, and also from every continent on planet earth excluding Antarctica. Being a small economy in Oceania, Vanuatu has very few locally made and locally owned products. Our taste of Vanuatu tour will take you through the real port Vila where you get a glimpse of everyday living, and also, take you to three main factories in port Vila. 1 - The coffee factory. This is where you get to see the process of roasting of coffee beans grown in the rich volcanic soil of Tanna Island. The rich volcanic taste gives it a flavour making it one of the best on the planet (Here you'll get a chance to have a complementary coffee) 2 - Active chocolate factory, kava hut and coconut oil factory. Here you’ll get to visit the famous Aelan chocolate, kava processing plant, and coconut oil factory. You’ll get to taste free chocolate and will be given a small complimentary sample of coconut oil. 3 - The 83 islands distillery. 83 islands distillery is a local supplier of Rum, and other spirits made mainly from local Vanuatu products. You will have a chance to tour the distilling plant before tasting some of their produce. This tour will show you port Vila from the inside out, as our route also takes you off the tourist beaten track.
