Nuku'Alofa Highlights And 'Otuhaka Beach

You’ll get a real insight into Nuku’alofa on this half day tour which visits the Royal Palace, the Royal Tombs, the dramatic blow holes and scenic Otuhaka Beach. First stop is the Royal Palace, home of his late Majesty, King Taufa’ahau Tupou IV. The charming Victorian-era building was shipped from New Zealand and reassembled in Nuku’alofa in 1867. Your tour continues to the Royal Tombs, where King George Tupou I and the rest of the late members of the Tongan Royal Family are at rest. Travel west across Tongatapu, past smiling children and quaint villages, where the culture remains largely untouched by modern society. On the rocky coastline, experience the dramatic blowholes, at peak times they spout nearly 30 metres into the sky. Passing through Kolovai Village, famous for its flying fox colony, you’ll reach your final destination at Otuhaka Beach where you can enjoy time to relax or take a walk.
