Betikama Museum Tour

Betikama in the Guadalcanal dialect means “beside the big water” a name that depicts the location of the Tour site. Betikama is a national high school in Solomon Islands and is secluded away in the valley with a museum that holds WWII memories and artifacts that signifies, local culture from the nine Provinces. It is famous for the students’ angelic voices that sang choruses harmoniously in the campus. This tour provides guests with exquisite experience of listening to the traditional bamboo band music with student singing. It will also provide an opportunity for guests to touch and see the scars of the Second World War through the relics on the site. Guests will also see the authentic artifacts of the 9 different Provinces within Solomon Islands and listen to the tour guide explaining its cultural significance. A skillful carver will also illustrate how the carvings are being made and guests will also have the opportunity to try. A complementary fresh cold coconut will also be served.
