Kennedy Island Tour
The tour begins on the pier at Gizo; board a banana boat for the 15-minute ride to Kennedy Island. The white sand beaches complement the stunning blues of the waters here. Spend the day as you wish: swim in the warm waves, snorkel above the coral and its resident tropical fish, or soak up the sun on the beach. You will be given a complimentary drink of a choice from fresh cold coconut, Solomon's very own brewed beer, juice or cold water followed by freshly BBQ fish served with salad.
Imagine young John F. Kennedy, a Navy lieutenant in World War II, swimming to safety right off the shore here, and saving the lives of many in his sinking boat who were presumed dead. There is no shortage of historic landmarks from World War II in this region.
