Zodiac Ride & Duck Island Marine Reserve

Take a thrilling Zodiac ride in Noumea’s stunningly blue waters. After a safety briefing and life jacket fitting, the Zodiac will then zip from the harbour and into the bays. Cross in front of the Baie de l’Orphelinat, into the Baie des Citrons (Lemon Bay), whose beach is a favourite destination for both locals and visitors. Reach the Ile aux Canards (Duck Island), a coral islet in Anse Vata Bay. Enjoy a couple of hours at your leisure with exclusive access to the amenities on the island. You can swim, sunbathe, relax on the beach and snorkel. Explore the colourful coral, fish and more by following a unique, path that is signposted to guide you through this underwater world. Enjoy great views of the beaches and waterfront as you Zodiac back. Special Notes: • Restrictions: Minimum age is 5 years. Maximum Weight: 120kgs. • This excursion uses inflatable boats and the ride can be rough; the tour is not suitable for pregnant women or guests with back problems. • Guests must negotiate large steps to get in and out of the Zodiac. • Reef shoes strongly recommended as beach is mainly coral and not sandy. • Snorkel equipment can be hired on the island for additional fees. • Bring a hat and adequate sun protection. Please wear your swimsuit under your clothes, bring a towel and reef shoes. Please ensure your sunscreen is reef-friendly and biodegradable in order to keep the fish happy and healthy. Please fill your water bottle before leaving the ship.
