You’ll learn all about the presence of Australian and American armies in New Caledonia during WWII and the impact this had on the local way of life. Next up is Ouemo’s canon lookout point offering spectacular views and equally spectacular photo opportunities. You’ll then drive by different neighbourhoods named by the Americans: Motor Pool area, Receiving and Orphanage Bay. You’ll also pass by the US marine navy anchor memorial as you head back towards the cruise ship.
