This jam packed tour will take you to four of Noumea's most popular attractions. Journey through the city, past many landmarks on the way to your first stop, FOL Lookout Point. From here you can enjoy views over the convict-built Catholic Cathedral, beautiful Coconut Square, the city centre, bustling marina, the huge nickel smelter and your cruise ship berthed in the harbour.
Drive through Fauburg Blanchot, the old colonial residential area and the Promenade Vernier as you make your way to the next lookout point, Ouen Toro. Take in sweeping views of Noumea’s scenic bays and beaches, across the lagoon (which is the largest in the world), to the coral-fringed tropical islands in the distance.
Next stop is the state-of-the-art Noumea Aquarium. Here, you can see the rare prehistoric nautilus, delicate sea horses, colourful tropical fish, sea turtles, stingrays and reef sharks, and enjoy a special ‘black light’ exhibit room that illuminates beautiful fluorescent corals.
Arriving at Lemon Bay Beach, you’ll have a light lunch at local restaurant before enjoying some free time to explore the beautiful area that’s popular among locals and visitors alike. The sheltered beach is protected from the wind and waves which makes it a perfect location for families and is located near quiet cafés and restaurants. Kick back and relax with a great coffee or gelato.
