Turtle Bay Encounter and Swim


Take a 2 minute walk to Kanumera Bay, board a small local boat and discover some of the Isle of Pines beautiful bays and islets. See the Catholic memorial surrounded by Kanak totem poles at St Maurice Bay. At Turtle Bay and the nearby plateau, turtles and stingrays are often seen in the clear, pristine waters. You may spot a manta ray, a dolphin or a shark, so stay alert! You might be able to join the turtles for a swim! For the best underwater visibility bring your own snorkel. If time permits, take a short beach break on a nearby island for a dip or a stroll, or just relax on the white sand before returning to Kuto Bay.

From Kuto Bay travel on bus toward Saint-Josep Bay. Your local guide will welcome and provide information to board the traditional dugout canoes. Board the canoe in knee-dep water and sail in the direction of Upi Bay where majestic limestone rocks emerge from the sea. If you are lucky you could see one of the many turtles that resides in the bays.
