A Glimpse of our Island (unguided)

This unguided bus tour visits some of the most important and picturesque historical sites including the French convict prison, spectacular white-sand Kuto Beach and stops briefly at Brush Island lookout to view this spectacular island decorated with tall pine trees. The town hall, post office, small clinic and Notre Dame de l’Assomption Catholic Church (1861) are all at Vao Village. Established at the same time, the Church and village allowed the tribes and clans to learn the teachings of the mission.
