Formed by the root of the pepper tree Kava usually has a mildly sedative and anaesthetic effect, although it is possible to have adverse reactions including upset stomach. The traditional method of preparing kava does not meet P&O Cruise’s standard of health and safety and any participation in trying kava is at the risk of the individual
Special Notes• Wear comfortable warm-weather clothing and waterproof walking shoes • Modest attire is required for visiting local villages; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered; short shorts and swimwear are not allowed. Guests are asked to remove hats before entering the village. It is important to ask permission before taking an individual's photograph. • Tour does not operate on Easter Weekend (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday during Easter) Christmas & Sundays, or if there has been a recent death in the village.
