After boarding your motorcoach at the pier you'll drive south from Nadi past cane fields and small farms; then, you'll cross the land bridge to the coastal highway towards Yanuca Island.
Located on its own 109-acre tropical island, the Shangri-La Resort and Spa boasts sparkling white sand beaches, a crystalline deepwater lagoon and colorful coral gardens. With 3hrs of free time you have your choice of relaxing on the beach, taking in the island's natural beauty while lazing under a swaying palm tree, exploring the tropical gardens, or shopping for souvenirs and fashions at the resort boutique.
Activities in and out of the water such as canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, Hobie-cat rentals and snorkelling are available for purchase.
During your visit enjoy a lovo lunch and refreshments while watching an exciting performance of the dramatic Fijian Meke followed by the firewalking show. A sacred celebration that brings a sense of community to the Fijians, this ritual, handed down over several thousand years, helps keep the island's legends and culture alive for future generations. You'll marvel as the Firewalkers are led to the arena accompanied by dances and chants. Leaves and stones are set over the fire pit. After a fire is ignited over the pit and the group huddles in the center while chanting a song.
Another scenic drive takes you back across the land bridge back to your ship at the pier.The firewalk show does not take place on Sundays.
