Board your sightseeing launch for a cruise along the southern reaches of Queen Charlotte Sound. Here the densely wooded shore line is dotted with coves, bays and sandy beaches. The nutrient rich waters of the sound are home to seabirds, seals and dolphins. After a fully guided marine cruise, arrive at the Kaipupu Wildlife Sanctuary, a 40 hectare bush reserve created in 2005 to protect and enhance the unique New Zealand wildlife, which is now completely predator free. Walk a bush trail where you may encounter some of the many bird species who call this sanctuary home. At the top of the trail you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the beautiful lower Marlborough Sounds before wandering back to the catamaran to enjoy a glass of juice or local wine and some locally grown fruit while sailing back to Picton.
Don’t forget your camera! Capture the delightful view, wildflie and Lochmara Lodge surrounds.
To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please ensure that you wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat, SPF30+ or higher factor sunscreen and bottled water.
