From here, you will travel to the fertile Taieri Plains, finally ascending the Taieri Gorge. Sit back and relax as your train negotiates this exhilarating narrow river gorge with cliff hugging tunnels and viaducts soaring high above the river. Special Notes

A hydraulic lift may be available onboard the train to assist wheelchair confined tour participants, however it is essential to inform P&O shore tours prior to your cruise departure in order to confirm availability of this wheelchair accessible carriage. To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please ensure that you wear comfortable flat-soled shoes and clothing suited to the weather conditions, including a hat and jacket. Depending on which wharf your ship will berth at, a short walk of up to 50 metres may be necessary to reach the train. Those under the age of 18 years will not be served alcohol. The train is not air-conditioned.
