During this exclusive tour, you’ll take a stroll through the city centre with a local guide, sample local delicacies and delights, visit peaceful parks and historic areas and view landmarks such as the 1,076-foot-tall Sky Tower. Inspired by local expert Karen Thompson Smith, the tour will take you around the heart of the city. From the pier, you’ll follow your friendly and knowledgeable guide through the laneways and precincts of City Centre. Along the way, you’ll hear fascinating stories about only-a-local-would-know locations where sailors jumped through hidden doors in the oldest bars to avoid their captain’s wrath, and how a little lane from the old barracks became one of the most famous in the city. You’ll stroll past peaceful parks and historic areas and see some of its most famous buildings including theatres and the 1,076-foot-tall Sky Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere. TOUR NOTES This is a walking tour and therefore not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Make sure to wear comfortable flat soled shoes and dress to the weather conditions.
