Join Ant and Lou Bentley from the renowned Akaroa Cooking School for a morning of cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and learn about the wonderful produce from the stunning Banks Peninsula area. The Cooking School enjoys fabulous views of the harbour and surrounds. Get comfortable and learn about the abundant local produce while Lou cooks up four tasty dishes that might include: Hot Smoked Akaroa Salmon on Pickled Cucumber Salad with Microgreens and Lemon and Mandarin Oil, Rare fillet of Grain Finished Beef with Horseradish Pannacotta and Parmesan Crisp with Balsamic Glaze, Grilled Gurnard Fillets on Lemon and Green Pea Risotto or Pan Seared Lamb Rump with Chorizo, Fresh Tomato and Basil Sauce. Then, taste the results with a glass of local award winning wine. Special Notes: Please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket, plenty of biodegradable sunscreen and bring bottled water. To participate in the wine tasting portion of this tour guests must be the New Zealand legal drinking age of 18 or older. This is a demonstration rather than a hands-on cooking experience
