Moreton Bay Whale Watching Cruise

If you’ve always wanted to go whale watching, don’t miss your chance at Tangalooma Island Resort. The surrounding Moreton Bay is an oasis for all sorts of marine life, during winter approximately 30,000 whales journey through the area. It’s also common for new mothers and their calves to rest in Moreton Bay on their southern journey to the Antarctic. Board a comfortable catamaran, hosted by a Tangalooma Eco Ranger and enjoy a cruise around Moreton Bay for a chance to witness these magnificent animals in the natural environment where breaching, tail slapping and spy hopping are just some of the antics you can expect to see. Enjoy informative commentary during the cruise and learn all about the whale songs, their migration path, different behaviours and so much more! Keep an eye out for pods of dolphins, turtles, stingrays and dugongs which also frequent the area. Special Notes: - To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please ensure that you wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket and bring along some sunscreen and bottled water. - Although every effort will be made, whale sightings cannot be guaranteed. Please note this tour is only available between June and October. - Suitable for guests using wheelchair. - Enjoy a light lunch on board the whale watch cruise.
