Not only is Moreton Island one of the largest sand islands in the world, it is also home to the highest coastal sand dune in the world! Take a trip out to the sand dunes and experience the thrill of sand tobogganing down them.
Your tour begins as you board a 4WD off-road vehicle and make your way out to the middle of Moreton Island. Keep an eye out for the stunning multi-coloured sands of Moreton Island along the way.
On arrival climb up to the summit of one of the sand dunes and experience the excitement of sand tobogganing down. It’s a fast-paced thrill ride that’s not for the faint hearted!

- To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please ensure that you wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket, and bring along some sunscreen and bottled water.
- This tour is suitable for guests of all ages. Iced water will be available at the sand dunes.
- This tour is weather dependant as the sand tobogganing cannot operate in wet weather conditions. In the event of wet weather, this tour will operate as a sightseeing tour and visit the Tangalooma Wrecks.
- Not suitable for guests using wheelchair. Tour is not suitable for pregnant women.
- Sand Tobogganing is optional.
