Beautiful Beachport

Explore the gorgeous coastal scenery surrounding Robe as you venture out to beautiful Beachport. The region boasts sandy beaches stretching around Rivoli Bay. Coastal dunes offer spectacular views of the rugged coast and roaring surf crashes against the shoreline. Upon arrival in this pretty seaside town enjoy some free time to stretch your legs. Wander out on to the Beachport jetty, the second longest jetty in South Australia. If you prefer, pop your head into the local coffee shops or lovely boutiques to meet the friendly locals and soak up some of the town’s relaxed atmosphere. Reboard the coach and travel to the Pool of Siloam. This salt lake is reputedly seven times more salty than the sea and it is alleged to possess therapeutic assets. Pause for a quick stop to take a look at this intriguing landmark. Venture onwards to Durants lookout another great opportunity to capture photos before heading towards the Woakwine cutting. The Woakwine cutting is a man made channel which was a huge engineering feat for its time. View this local attraction that demonstrates a remarkable example of how the land has been drained, ploughed and cultivated. The machinery used can be seen on site and there are also views on offer of Lake George and coastal dunes. Head back to Robe on board your coach with a stop at the Beacon Hill lookout en route.
