A Mallards view of the Kimberley

Located over 200 kilometres north-east of Derby and 400+ kilometres from Broome, Kuri Bay (Australia's first South Sea pearl farm) is only accessible by boat or seaplane, so there is no better way to witness one of Australia’s last frontiers than from the air to take in the views of the spectacular Kimberley region. Guests participating on this amazing tour will fly over the remote yet wonderful landscape in one of the Australia’s only operating Mallard seaplanes. Taking off and landing directly from the waters in Kuri Bay, guests will enjoy the unique experience and views during their 15-20 min scenic flight as well as the opportunity to see their cruise ship anchored in this north western paradise. Being transported out in a small local boat and loading into the plane at sea is an adventure on its own, but taking off and landing in a 6.5 tonne amphibious seaplane is unlike anything ever experienced before! Guests will not be disappointed with this unique flight experience flying over one of the most beautiful areas of Australia in this rustic flying machine. Special Notes: Guests will need to load and unload the plane via a small local tender boat and must be agile enough to do so unassisted. Closed toe shoes are required to participate on this tour. Hearing protection (provided) must be worn on this flight and the aeroplane is not pressurised. The flight does not have commentary and will be noisy
