Tasmania Wine & Wildlife

Sample Tasmania's history, wildlife and wines on this full-day tour visiting the historical village of Richmond, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Moorilla, a pioneer town of the modern Tasmanian wine industry. Take winding roads through lush countryside on your way to the historic town of Richmond. Take in the town’s Georgian architecture, the original courthouse, public buildings and churches and the oldest remaining bridge and jail in Australia. Continue to Bonorong Wildlife Park, where you will be fascinated by the endemic Tasmanian devil. See spotted quolls, pademelon and pottoroos. Never heard of these? Don’t worry, they’ll be familiar favourites by the end of the day! Hand-feed the Forester kangaroos and share a few unforgettable moments with the koalas and their dedicated keepers. Next stop is Moorilla, on the banks of the Derwent River. Experience Moorilla’s Wine & Food Centre and watch winemakers and brewers of Moo Brew at work. Moorilla produces a range of award-winning cool climate wines with signature varietals including Pinot Noir, Riesling and Gewürtztraminer. The Chardonnay, Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc are also amazing. S
