Well known for its wilderness and wildlife offering, Bruny Island is also home to a huge range of delicious local produce. Take in the incredible scenery as you tour the island stopping to taste test some of the best produce along the way including artisan cheeses, hand-crafted ale, oysters and whiskey. Yum!
Your tour begins with a coach ride to Kettering where you’ll board the ferry for a scenic 15-mintue crossing to Bruny Island. First stop is Bruny Island Cheese Company where you will meet the makers, learn how they craft their cheeses and view the cheese maturing room - where all the magic happens. Following the tour sit down to a delicious meal of cheese platters, piping hot wood fire pizza and hand-crafted ale.
Your next stop is Get Shucked Oysters where you can savour the clean salty flavour of oysters straight from the shell and enjoy views down to the pristine waters where these succulent oysters are grown.
Look out over the narrow isthmus at The Neck Lookout and take a stroll along a deserted white sand beach before arriving at your final stop for the day, Bruny Island House of Whisky. Taste a Tasmanian single malt whisky and view the most extensive known collection of Tasmanian whiskies.
Guests under the age of 18 are welcome to participate in the tour however will not be able to participate in whiskey tasting. Venues and tastings are subject to change on the day due to availability. Tour may be extended during peak times due to ferry crossing times.
