The Great Barrier Reef is a bucket list trip not to be missed. Jump aboard a high-speed, air-conditioned catamaran to take a 2 hour journey to a reef pontoon (floating platform) for your day. Once at the pontoon all snorkelling equipment is provided so jump in the water and let the fun begin. Come face to face with schools of tropical reef fish, view the coral, explore easy-to-follow snorkelling trails, observe from the underwater observatory or simply relax on the sundeck and enjoy the amazing 360º ocean views. A fresh tropical buffet lunch is served on board the vessel including a selection of tasty dishes, accompanying salads, breads, condiments and tea/coffee.
Optional extras (at your own expense) include scuba diving for both first-time and certified divers and guided snorkel tours with a reef interpreter
To protect your camera from sand and sea, consider purchasing a waterproof disposable camera from your ship's Essentials or Photo, Video and Tech Store. Otherwise, pack your camera in a waterproof bag.

To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and SPF30+ or higher factor sunscreen. Make sure to bring swimmers, a towel, and bottled water.
Please note travel over open waters can sometimes be rough. Those prone to seasickness should take precautions. Your catamaran journey to and from the pontoon is approximately 2 hours each way.
All guests participate in snorkelling/ swimming activities at their own risk, please be aware snorkelling can become a strenuous activity. Guests wishing to snorkel should be fully able bodied and be able to swim. Guests must always snorkel with a buddy.
Certain medical conditions will prevent guests from snorkelling including asthma, lung and heart conditions. A medical questionnaire must be completed prior to snorkelling. The operator reserves the right to determine if guests with pre-existing medical conditions are able to participate.
