1770 Beach, Larc and Lunch

This tour will get you well acquainted with the fascinating town of Agnes Water & 1770, one of Queensland’s best kept secrets. Your tour begins with a two-hour coach ride from Gladstone to 1770. From your coach, transfer to a more unique mode a transport – an amphibious, ex-military LARC. Explore the pristine estuaries, national park and scenic coastline surrounding 1770 spotting a huge range of wildlife in their natural environment. Along the way you’ll hear all about the town’s interesting history, including the landing of Captain Cook. Dig in to a delicious picnic lunch. Afterwards rejoin your coach and travel to the 1770 lookout for a brief photo stop from here its a short transfer to the small town of Agnus Water. Here you will have approx. two-hours of free time to explore the town. Take a swim at the main beach claimed to be the most northern surf beach on the east coast of Australia and offers a patrolled swimming area at the southern end or enjoy a cold drink at the local café before heading back to Gladstone. Special Notes: To make your adventure as enjoyable as possible please comfortable, flat-soled shoes, clothing suitable for the weather conditions, bring your swimsuit, a towel, a hat, plenty of sunscreen and bottled water.

Make sure to bring swimmers, a towel, and bottled water. Guests must be able to negotiate the 7 steps onto the Larc Vessel. Tour is not suitable for guest with injuries such as neck, back, hip that may be exacerbated by a bumpy ride. Duck vehicle cannot accommodate walkers or wheelchairs.
