This tour will get you well acquainted with the fascinating town of 1770, one of Queensland’s best kept secrets. Your tour begins with a two-hour coach ride from Gladstone to 1770. From your coach, transfer to a more unique mode a transport – an amphibious, ex-military LARC. Explore the pristine estuaries, national park and scenic coastline surrounding 1770 spotting a huge range of wildlife in their natural environment. Along the way you’ll hear all about the town’s interesting history, including the landing of Captain Cook. To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and SPF30+ or higher factor sunscreen. Make sure to bring swimmers, a towel, and bottled water. Guests must be able to negotiate the 7 steps onto the Larc Vessel. Tour is not suitable for guest with injuries such as neck, back, hip that may be exacerbated by a bumpy ride. Duck vehicle cannot accommodate walkers or wheelchairs.
