1770 Beach, Larc and Lunch

Explore the estuaries and coastline of Seventeen Seventy - or as the locals know it, the 'Town of 1770' - in amphibious LARC style! Take a coach ride (approx. 1.5 hours) from Gladstone to 1770 the hidden jewel of Queensland's coastline. On arrival at 1770 jump aboard a Larc amphibious ex-military vessels to explore. You'll spot abundant birdlife, an array of marine animals and wildlife in their natural environment. Plus there is a cultural and historical commentary detailing the landing of Captain Cook and his Endeavour crew's arrival into the local bay. Enjoy a yummy picnic lunch and explore the National Parks and waterways. Your total Larc experience takes 2 hours. From there you'll have about 2 hour’s free time to wander around the township and enjoy time at the beaches before heading back to Gladstone.

Special Notes

To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and SPF30+ or higher factor sunscreen. Make sure to bring swimmers, a towel, and bottled water. Guests must be able to negotiate the 7 steps onto the Larc Vessel. Tour is not suitable for guest with injuries such as neck, back, hip that may be exacerbated by a bumpy ride. Duck vehicle cannot accommodate walkers or wheelchairs.
