A short 15 minute training session is undertaken at the start of the tour so If you're a first-time, you'll be gliding like a pro in minutes. Take a quick transfer to the botanic gardens where you’ll be outfitted with the safety equipment and you very own Segway vehicle. Have fun gliding your Segway as you experience the natural beauty of the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens. Enjoy one hour group guided tour through the vibrantly beautiful and colourful tropical gardens. Wind you way down tracks and around the pathways travelling through the lush vegetation. You may encounter local native birds, a wide variety of plants that flourish in the tropical heat and perhaps if you’re lucky spot the magnificent Rufous Owl which is known to nest in the Gardens.
Free time at the end of the tour allows for purchases of snacks and refreshments at the onsite café (at guests own expense) before heading back to the pier.

To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please wear comfortable enclosed footwear, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and SPF30+ or higher factor sunscreen. Make sure to bring bottled water. Age restrictions apply: * Minimum age of 9 years * We suggest a maximum age of 75 years Weight restrictions apply: * Minimum weight of 40 Kgs * Maximum weight of 120 Kgs Use of hand held cameras or phones is prohibited while riding the Segway, however guests are welcome to film or photograph Segway riders or scenery while not riding the Segway. (Eg: at rest stops or photos taken of the guests riding the Segway by another person). Good vision, balance. No pre-existing knee, ankle, foot conditions. Not suitable for pregnant women. Able to stand for min 30 minutes at a time. Riders should be of good physical health and be able to stand and balance unaided. Riders should also have no major knee or foot conditions and be able to stand for at least half an hour. Adequate 20:20 vision and be able to see short and far distances or have glasses/contact lenses to assist eyesight is necessary.
