Experience the thrills and excitement of white water rafting through the World Heritage rainforest and magnificent gorges of the Barron River.
In the calmer sections, witness the world's oldest rainforest and waterfalls from a unique waterline perspective. During your adventure, discover why the Barron's rapids have names such as 'Rooster Tail', 'Cheese Churn' and 'Hells Gate'; the rapids are graded 2-3, with two rapids being particularly challenging. An experienced and highly skilled rafting guide will ensure that your trip will be safe, yet filled with fun and excitement as you take on the challenging white water of the Barron River.
Please note that only Go-Pro style cameras that can be mounted to the body are allowed on this tour. Alternatively, professional photos will be taken as you raft down the river; you can purchase photos and CDs direct from the rafting operator.
To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and SPF30+ or higher factor sunscreen. Make sure to bring bottled water.
A minimum participation age of 12 years applies
Walking over various terrain, inclines, declines, dirt paths and wet surfaces. Guests may be required to assist in carrying the inflatable vessel to the water over slippery surfaces. Guests should wear shoes that can get wet and are secured to the feet (not flip flops).
Please leave all jewellery and valuables in your cabin's safe onboard ship.
