Green Island Eco Adventure

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the world’s seven natural wonders and the largest living thing on Earth. Green Island is the Great Barrier Reef’s only island with a rainforest, and offers a combined reef and rainforest experience. Board a catamaran and cross the Coral Sea to Green Island, a tropical paradise with over 120 native plant species, colourful bird life and surrounded by coral gardens teeming with marine life. Choose between a glass bottom boat coral viewing tour or hiring snorkel gear to dive in for a closer look. There’s also the magical rainforest to explore, a white-sand beach to relax on and the well-appointed day visitor facilities. Special Notes: - A refundable deposit is required to hire snorkel gear. - Please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket, plenty of biodegradable sunscreen and bring bottled water. - Please wear your swimsuit under your clothes and bring a towel and cash or credit card for souvenirs or optional activities. - Certain medical conditions including heart and lung conditions may prevent participation in snorkelling . Guests wishing to snorkel should be fully able bodied with a medium level of fitness. Always snorkel with a buddy – never snorkel alone. - All swimming and snorkelling activities are undertaken at guests own risk. - Free time on Green Island may vary due to the ships schedule. Also included is the use of the resort swimming pool. - A 5-10 minute walk to and from the Reef Fleet Terminal is required - Guests can choose between two activities: snorkelling (deposit required for gear), or glass bottom boat experience.
