Enjoy a relaxing drive through lush farming country to Gunns Plains and Wings Wildlife Park. Spectacular views of Hopfields and the lush river flats can be snapped during the descent to the Plains and at a stop at Woodhouse Lookout.
First stop is Wings Wildlife Park; set on 106 acres, Wings is home to a large selection of native wildlife. View Tasmanian Devils, Wombats, Wallabies and many other native creatures in natural surroundings. Birds of prey and nocturnal animals not normally seen are also on display. The largest display of reptiles in Tasmania, safely secured behind glass, can be viewed up close!
Take your camera to capture the views over Gunns Plains. See Hopfields and the lush river flats that produce fine livestock and crops spread out below you.
To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please ensure that you wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket, also bring sunscreen and bottled water.
