The Great Barrier Reef

Travel on board a premier day-cruise vessel to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef for an adventure-packed day at a reef pontoon to snorkel and explore the underwater world filled with vibrant fish, coral and a vast assortment of marine life. Along with lunch, there's a host of activities in store - swimming, snorkeling, a semi-submersible, an underwater viewing observatory, plus regular presentations by marine biologists. Transfer from the ship’s anchor to the pontoon is approximately two hours each way. Approximately 2.5 hours will be spent at the pontoon depending on weather conditions. The passage over open water is sometimes rough, so please take precautions if prone to seasickness.

Take photos of your trip to the pontoon. At the ponton, take photos from the underwater viewing chamber or from a glass-bottom boat, all while staying dry. Disposable waterproof cameras are available for purchase.


Tea and coffee served on the catamaran. During your time at the pontoon, a delicious buffet lunch will be served. Additional beverages can be purchased at the bar onboard your Whitsundays' premier day-cruise vessel.

Special Notes

*All guest wishing to snorkel must be fully able bodied with a medium level of fitness. Certain medical conditions including lung and heart conditions may prevent participation in snorkelling activities. Always snorkel with a buddy - Never snorkel alone. *Passengers must be aware that they take this tour at their own risk. *Please know that safety is paramount for BWCG however whist every precaution is taken all swimming, snorkelling and scuba activities are undertaken at the guests own risk. *Tea and coffee served on the catamaran. Additional beverages can be purchased at the bar onboard the catamaran. It is possible whilst at the pontoon to take some under water photos from the underwater viewing chamber or from a glass bottom boat – all while staying dry. *Disposable waterproof cameras are available for purchase – perfect to take with you if you go snorkelling/diving. *The season for the box jellyfish and stingers generally starts with the onset of the wet across the top of northern Australia, usually around October and lasts until April. Stinger suits are included
