Ambon Pedicab Adventure

Embark on a pedicab from the harbor; riding a pedicab is best suited for short distances and taking photos of Ambon City. The first stop is the local traditional market. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to see a wide array of fresh herbs grown in the tropics. After a short drive, we will visit the 39th World Peace Gong Monument in Ambon Central, which serves as a symbol of "World Peace." From there, we will take a light walk across to Pattimura Park, where you can see the Monument of Kapitan Pattimura. Kapitan Pattimura was a renowned Ambonese soldier who courageously fought against the colonizing forces of the Dutch East Indies. Additionally, the park features statues of musical instruments, symbolizing Ambon's designation as the 18th International City of Music by UNESCO in 2019. Next, we will continue our pedicab journey to Joseph Kam Church. This church is dedicated to Joseph Kam, a Dutch missionary who was assigned to Maluku from 1769 to 1833. During his time there, he served as the sole priest in Maluku. The church was built on the site of Joseph Kam's grave. Along the way, we will pass through the Mardika region. Upon arrival at Josef Kam Church, we will have the opportunity to visit and explore its surroundings. Final Stop at a Local Cafe: Indulge in Authentic Local Coffee, Tea, and Delightful snacks before returning to the harbor, where you can rejoin the ship.
