We're sorry we won't get to welcome you onboard for your upcoming cruise. We recommend you get in contact with your travel insurance provider to see if you can make a claim for any out of pocket expenses, including cancellation fees for your cruise.

If you do not have travel insurance or your claim has been denied, please fill in the below form and attach the required supporting documents, and we will review your compassionate cancellation request. P&O cruise bookings are generally subject to our booking and travel conditions which outlines our cancellation policy and the relevant fees. However, at our discretion we may be able to offer you some additional options for your cruise booking. Accepting a proposed option will constitute a variation to our booking and travel conditions.

Form Info & Clarification

In the case of illness, by submitting this request you confirm that you have the consent of the ill person for P&O Cruises to collect and assess the information.

Once you submit your request, we will consider your circumstances and provide an outcome at our discretion. We will endeavour to process your request within 5 business days and notify you of the outcome on the email address or phone number provided.

Requirements for supporting documentation

Serious illness

A serious illness is when a passenger is unable to travel for a period of at least 6 months. This must be listed on a medical certificate on letterhead by a registered medical practitioner.

Passenger or immediate family member has passed away

If a passenger or immediate family member has passed away, a death certificate is required.

Immediate family members are considered: Mother, Son, Father, Daughter, Husband, Brother, Wife, Sister, De Facto Partner, Brother/Sister In-Law, Grandparent, Mother/Father In-Law, Grandchildren.
