Events you don't want to miss

We were all no doubt looking forward to a lot of events in 2020, and to say it didn’t pan out as planned would be the understatement of the year. But the good news is that the calendar for 2022 is already taking shape. And while a few notable events are still TBD, there are several already pencilled in that you won’t want to miss.

1. Australia Day

There’s nothing like starting the year off right with a memorable Australia Day, and there are few experiences more memorable than P&O Cruises’ Australia Day Cruise. You can celebrate the day in true blue Aussie fashion, with some of the best vantage points Sydney Harbour has to offer. There are themed competitions, music, family activities, deck parties and more.

The 2022 Australia Day Cruise offers a short break of 3 nights, departing Melbourne Sydney on 24 January. You’ll spend two nights at sea, soaking in the shipboard amenities, before mooring at Sydney Harbour for celebration on the day. You can head ashore to take in the best of the city on Australia Day.

2. The Australian Open

We’ve all missed live sport, and 2022 is shaping up to be a great year for all us sporting tragics. Hop aboard the P&O Australian Open Tennis Cruise and enjoy two days of world class tennis featuring global elites. It’s one of the sport’s premiere events, and you’ll be right in the thick of the action, with Ground Pass tickets to Melbourne Park. And even when you’re at sea, you won’t miss a minute of the action, with live matches screened onboard.

If you want to celebrate the return of live sport, the 5-night Australian Open Cruise departs Sydney on 19 January 2022. Book in now to secure your spot at this highly coveted high point on 2022’s sporting calendar.
