Travel Documents
Around two to three weeks before you travel, we will send your travel document package including:
- your cruise tickets
- your air details/tickets (if applicable)
- luggage labels (to attach to your baggage with your name, address and cabin number clearly marked)
- comprehensive cruising guide
Documentation can only be dispatched once a fully completed booking form and total monies, including taxes have been received.
Passports & Visas
Passports are required on all cruises.
All passport and visa requirements are the responsibility of you and your travel agent. It is essential that a complete booking form, including the full name (as shown in passport), date of birth and nationality and passport details of each passenger be given to P&O Cruises prior to release of documents.
There are many regulations that apply to differing nationalities and countries regarding visas and it is the responsibility of you and your travel agent to ensure that you are in possession of the necessary documents to transit the countries included in your itinerary. Please check with your travel agent for any visa requirements to cover all your ports of call at least three months prior to departure.
Passports and visas must be valid for a minimum of six months beyond the date of the cruise return.
Insurance
It is essential on any holiday to take out comprehensive personal and baggage travel insurance to cover any eventuality, including any pre-existing medical conditions and charges arising should you have to cancel your holiday plans. You should carry a copy of your travel insurance policy with you on the cruise. Your travel agent can arrange a policy.
Immigration Forms
During your embarkation check-in, we collect your Passenger Immigration Form which contains information required by officials at our ports of call. This includes the name and telephone number of a person you wish to have notified in case of an emergency. This information is kept confidential and is for your own protection. Please complete your Passenger Immigration Form prior to embarkation.
Important Note
Please be sure to bring your cruise ticket, cruise Passage Contract, passport, visas and a copy of your insurance policy with you to embark the ship. Please verify that the name you provide when booking matches your legal name on your passport. All travel documents required for disembarkation at various ports of call or for boarding any airplane are your responsibility and should be carried with you.
Visa and documentation requirements vary by destination and do change from time to time. Be sure to check with your travel agent to verify current regulations.
