Rangiroa

Rangiroa (rang-i-ro-ah), with its 42 mile long by 16 mile wide turquoise lagoon, is the largest atoll in the Tuamotu Archipelago and the second largest in the world. Rangiroa was "born" when the top of a volcano submerged and created a body of water surrounded by a ring of sand and reef. It is one of the world's greatest diving destinations.
