Huahine

Huahine, Society Islands – port code HUH  
Huahine (hu-ah-hee-neh), a geographically diverse island in the Society Group, is located 109 miles northwest of Papeete. Covering 75 square miles, it is actually comprised of 2 islands: Huahine Iti and Huahine Nui (Little Huahine and Big Huahine) separated only by a narrow isthmus. A coral reef surrounds the 2 islands and they are connected to each other via a bridge over the channel, which allows visitors easy access to both islands. Mt. Turi, at 2,200 feet is the highest point on the island and is located on Huahine Nui. Huahine's administrative center and largest settlement is the lovely port city of Fare.
