Colon
Colòn is a seaport on the Atlantic side of the Isthmus of Panama. Colòn is located on Manzanillo Island and is the northern terminus of the Panama Railroad and the Panama Canal. This port was founded by the builders of the Panama Railroad, in 1850. It is undergoing a vast renovation and building boom targeted towards developing this port as a popular cruise destination; the project (and port) is referred to as Colòn 2000.
