This tour takes you out to Phillip Island where the Penguin Parade takes place at the Summerland Beach at dusk. Watch the magical display as the sometimes comical groups of little penguins waddle up the beach and enchant you.
The "little penguin" is the smallest of the world’s penguin species, standing only 33 centimetres high, and is the only one which breeds on the Australian mainland. The flightless birds are excellent swimmers. Each evening at dusk they return to shore, waddling up the beach to their burrows amongst the sand dunes. A multi million-dollar visitors’ centre at the parade has informative displays. After looking through the centre, follow the path that leads to Summerland Beach where the penguins can be seen from the tiered viewing stand as they march up the floodlit beach.

The 5 to10-minute walk along the path that leads to Summerland Beach is not steep, but it is not suitable for the physically challenged or anyone with walking difficulties.
