Continue on to the famous Gili Islands, known for their clear waters, white sandy beaches and excellent snorkelling. You will board a small boat from Kode Bay to Gili Trawangan, the busiest of the three tiny islands. As the island is so small, there is time to walk around the island, to swim in the sea or to simply relax on the beach; this is truly a delightful way to spend the day. Why not participate in a short Cidomo ride (traditional horse cart) around the village before leaving the island. Your tour finishes with a visit to Banyu Mulek, world renowned for its stunning handmade pottery before you head back to the ship.

Enjoy a scenic drive through the village of Vaiala past the Apia Park sports complex, along the coastline through colourful villages of Moataa and Vailele. This magnificent drive travels through lush green hills with clear spring water gushing from the sides of the mountains. Pass through villages and see people going about their daily chores such as fishing and working in their plantations. Finally, arrive at Le Uaina, here you can enjoy lunch, a swim or relax under a palm tree.

Leaving from Waitangi, you can feel and sense the spirituality of the Maori warrior as you glide along the peaceful and tranquil waters of the Waitangi aboard a 50 foot traditional Maori Waka (canoe.) Should the tides be favourable, you will make your way up the Waitangi River, whose banks are covered in native flora and fauna of all species. Awe-inspiring is how we describe your arrival at the bottom of the Haruru waterfalls, a spiritual place of the Maori. On completion of sharing histories, you will continue your voyage passing by tropical mangrove forest. Your Waka journey is a perfect combination of eco adventure and interactive cultural encounters. In the event that the tide does not allow access to the waterfalls, you will paddle by a real Maori Marae where the chiefs of 1800 discussed and debated what would eventually become the Treaty of Waitangi. Your guides are direct descendants of the many chiefs who signed the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840 and gives you the rare chance to meet the Ngapuhi, the original inhabitants of Northland. Today, Russell is a picturesque waterfront village full of old homesteads, historic churches, and wooden cottages.
