Will I need vaccinations?

Wherever you are travelling it is recommended you have a minimum of Influenza (seasonal), Hepatitis A and Tetanus/Diphtheria vaccinations.

You are strongly advised to seek advice from either your doctor or an approved public health travel advisory service to identify any specific vaccinations or health precautions required for each port of call. Check the following for more information.

Some countries strictly enforce certain health requirements. If you don't have correct vaccinations, you may not be able to go ashore at certain destinations. Additionally, some local authorities may impose a monetary fine or deny the ship entry into the port.

Abaft the beam: Further aft than the beam: a relative bearing of greater than 90 degrees from the bow: "two points abaft the port beam".
Dayboard: The daytime identifier of an aid to navigation presenting one of several standard shapes (square, triangle, rectangle) and colors (red, green, white, orange, yellow, or black).
Fender: An air or foam filled bumper used in boating to keep boats from banging into docks or each other.
Hand bomber: A ship using coal-fired boilers shoveled in by hand.
Starboard: The right hand side of the ship when looking forward
Beating to windward: Making progress against the direction of the wind, by steering alternately close-hauled on the starboard and larboard tacks.
Lee-side: The half of a ship, lengthwise, which lies between a line drawn through the middle of her length and the side, which is farthest from the point of wind.
Shallow, not deep.: Shoal
Under the lee of the shore: Close to the shore, which lies to windward of the ship.
Fresh away: When your ship increases its velocity.
