Alcohol Policy 

Passengers under 18 years of age are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol on board. Government issued photo identification (Queensland proof of age cards will not be accepted) will be requested. We wish to advise that passengers are not permitted to take on any alcohol for personal consumption.

Duty-free and tax-free and personal alcohol purchased on-shore, must be surrendered by passengers at embarkation or prior to boarding in any port. Duty and tax-free alcohol is also available for purchase on board and will be held under bond and returned at disembarkation in the final port of call. Please note, all luggage, including hand and check-in will be x-rayed at embarkation and disembarkation. Individuals must declare to Customs all amounts of alcohol in excess of the local Customs limits.

Nautical Glossary

Abaft the beam
Further aft than the beam: a relative bearing of greater than 90 degrees from the bow: "two points abaft the port beam".
Bear down
Turn away from the wind, often with reference to a transit.
Fast
Fastened or held firmly (fast aground: stuck on the seabed; made fast: tied securely).
Handy billy
A loose block and tackle with a hook or tail on each end, which can be used wherever it is needed. Usually made up of one single and one double block.
Handsomely
Gradually, as "lower handsomely".
Starboard
The right hand side of the ship when looking forward
Beating to windward
Making progress against the direction of the wind, by steering alternately close-hauled on the starboard and larboard tacks.
Gunnel
The large plank that runs along the upper part of a ship's side.
Hoy
A particular kind of vessel.
Fresh away
When your ship increases its velocity.
