The entertainment line-up onboard P&O Cruises Australia’s superliner, Pacific Dawn, has taken a new light with the introduction of an exciting program of laser light shows.
In an Australian cruise industry first, viZion, transforms Pacific Dawn’s three level atrium into a light and sound production three times every cruise. The light display is accompanied by a powerful soundtrack, creating an unforgettable passenger experience.
During a viZion show, bright and energetic strobes of light dance around the darkened atrium to the beat of music while dancers in reflective costumes partner with the lasers to create a spectacular effect.
The shows were designed exclusively for P&O Cruises by Oracle Attractions, an Australian company responsible for some of the largest laser light displays around the world.
Sture Myrmell, Vice President, Hotel Operations at Carnival Australia which operates P&O Cruises, said viZion was created to provide a unique experience for all passengers.
"Pacific Dawn’s atrium provided the perfect blank canvas for the laser show concept with three levels and lots of open space," Mr Myrmell said.
"viZion adds something completely unique to the entertainment line up onboard Pacific Dawn.
"We also designed the program to suit all ages by including different styles of music in the soundtrack."
Sydney-based superliner Pacific Dawn features 11 decks with two swimming pools, a choice of five evening dining areas, nine bars and lounges, "The Dome" entertainment area, a two-storey show lounge and fitness centre.
